Question about changing the plugs

I just bought Autolite HT1 plugs for my 2004 F150 Lariat 4x4 and have changed 6 of the eight. The good news is that the 6 came out with no issues and I have 34,000 miles on it. (I am going to consider myself lucky) They also eliminated the ping I was getting under load, although I need to replace the other two. They are also the right color..

The bad news is they are 2FE's and either have an unusual build up on the side electrode right under the center electrode or there supposed to be that way.

My question is how do you get to the two that are behind the PCM? Do I need to remove the PCM from the firewall?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can get to them without moving the PCM, but it's a lot easier to disconnect the PCM, remove it and it's mounting bracket. Then it's a straight shot onto 3 and 4.

I can get to the coil on 3, but there is no way I can get my big hands anywhere near 4.....
