hey, newb researching...
i'm looking to get a new F-150 4x4 with the 3V 5.4 hopefully after i get a house soon, but i have a question about cams. i searched on here and i recieved mixed answers from various links i checked. all i want to know is if the stock bottom end is able to withhold cams with specs of 214/227 @ .050" (Comp XE253H-114). or do i need to change rods? i'm not wanting to go fast, just wanting a little more power than stock. (if anything my supporting mods/dreamlist is the KN FIPK, Dynatech headers/hi-flow cats, and Borla exhaust and a tune of some sort (haven't decided yet which)....then the Rancho 4" lift, some 35's...that's basically all i want to do). lol, i know, a little much more than i wanted to type...oh well.

LOLLL. That was very good, very good, LOLLL.
Anyway, the answer is no, you don't have to change rods and cams you need are these XE253H-115 and not 114.
