Great job!

Did you wet sand and polsh the clear coat? Just curious as that's what I did on my previous truck and it came out perfect.

I was too lazy to do it myself on my current truck so I had a local body shop do mine for $200. Definately consider doing the mirrors, it will look good. I plan to have the mirrors and wheel well trim done on mine next. If you mess up you can always sand it down again and start over...or take it to a pro

Handles look good.

All the rocks from the road would chip up the mirrors if you paint them. Stick with what you have.

Have you really ever had a rock hit your mirror? I have never had that happen; even with 35" Mud Grapplers and living on a rocked road. I don't think you'd have any problems. .

My mirrors are clean as a whistle. You just reminded me about throwing mud while driving, you can see the huge patty's being thrown up in the air in front of you and before they hit the ground they fly back into your windshield. Impossible to wheel anymore without getting your windshield covered, I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about.

And allrsdup, are you being sarcastic...that smiley doesn't seem right. I really want to do this mod but on a black truck the difference won't be as timeworthy.

You'd be surprised what hits your truck on the freeway. I had to dodge an airborne 2 foot piece of 4x4 lumber the other day. Rocks, yes.

the mirrors are tricky. i sprayed mine with the HVLP with the factory color and cleared with a can. sometimes i think they blend in, others i think they look like elephant ears. nice job on the handles though... i've been thinking about it for a while.

i think im just gonna leave the mirrors black. with the amount of bugs i scrape off of those things im better off just leaving em black. that way i dont have to dig into my front doors again

If anyone wants to try this, I have a full set of handles (5) available.

I bought a stock set off eBay for $100, had them smoothed & painted, then just swapped them out with my stockers. Planned to put my old ones back on eBay for someone else to have a go at this but hadn't gotten around to it yet. If anyone here wants em, let me know.

Looks good!
Much cheaper than replacing them with the Mark LT handles. I too have a full set (5) from when I replaced mine with the LT ones if anyone is interested in doing a swap.
