And wow. This thing is slow as dirt. Maybe im used to driving my Roush but come on. Whats with the delay on acceleration? Hes got a k&n filter and catback. Ive got to get him a CAI at least and a tuner. Please tell me its not normal to wait almost 2 seconds to get a reaction from the engine????

 

well, on the 04's and some 05's yes--but a trip to the dealer to reflash remedied that pretty quick... with a tuner, he'd have no problem at all

drive by wire. thats all it is.

 

Mine had a long hesitation until I had it reflashed. Drives like a different truck.

 

its the first year of production. it will have some miscalculations. get a tuner and it will be a whole new truck

 

Ive got a Roush Mustang. So its got the drive by wire just like the 05 Mustangs...great...This reflash you guys are talking about, Go to the dealer and just say I want to get the comp reflashed. Or what? How much does it cost? Its still under warranty

 

Mine was done under warranty. I told them it was going to get me killed in traffic. They did not hesitate. I think it is about $80 if you have to pay for it.

 

I actually tried to get it reflashed before I got my edge and they said they wouldnt do it only if there was a problem.

 

I did the same as Bluejay and said it had almost gotten me hit in traffic. they got the truck completed before lunch.
Mine only hesistated at an almost complete stop before getting back on the accelerator, but I think after the reflash that there was an improvement in acceleration in all but WOT (wide open thottle) and it eliminated the hesitation at almost a complete stop
