Door problems not closing

Has anyone run into this yet, my back driver door won't close, well it closes but the door ajar stays on and the dome lights stay on as if it didnt close all the way. I have to almost slam it for it to sense the door in closed, any ideas will be helpful.

Does the WD-40 in the door latch work on the new models? I know in the older models all you had to do was spray the heck out of the door latch in the door and it would get all the crap out of it and the latch would work properly. You can search the forum and find the door latch fix. But all you do is spray wd-40 in the latch and clean it out, and it lubes her up and gets the crud out of there.

Sounds like you need the dealer to fix it.

No kidding, especially since it's an '06. I think I'd be taking it in and having it checked since it's under warranty. Who knows, there may be something more going on there. I wouldn't think so, but sometimes you just never know.

thanks for you replies but ....(snicker)....I think my wife fixed, she barely tapped the door and it shut perfectly, so I did it my way and bammmmm the door lights on.....So for all you big brutes out there like me who dont know there own strengh(Stop slamming doors). I would shut it like normal and it would bounce back just a little and the sensor would think it reopened. Well I dont slam doors anymore.
