Transmission Leak?

While checking my oil today, I noticed a spot under my truck and after looking, the only place I can see where it would be coming from is around the grommet on the bottom of the transmission housing (right in front of the transmission pan). Has anyone else had this and what would be the possible cause? I'm sure I will go ahead and take it in to the dealer just to be on the safe side. Any thoughts, suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,
Matt

Mine had that too. Dealer replaced the seal. No big deal.

Are you sure the spot under your truck was transmission fluid and not condensation built up on the A/C lines?

I know you didn't ask me, but my leak was red colored.

Yes, had it been condensation, it would have dried and not left a stain on the concrete.

I brought it to the dealer today and they put a dye in the oil and told me to drive it about 3 days and bring it back. At that time they will use a blacklight to pinpoint the leak.

I'm just ready to get it fixed!

Thanks for the replies,
Matt

I had same problem. First time dealer replaced front trans seal. It worked for about a month. Second time dealer replaced front trans seal and torque convertor. Dont know if that worked because I traded it in on 06 supercrew.
