add a leaf help

i have a 04 with a leveling and 33. i like the look of the stock truck it just needs to be taller. i was woundering if a add a leaf would bring the back up enough or too much. i dont get to take my truck to pay in the mud often but i also want it to do its job. i have been looking around for answers but havent really found any. i will also put pics of my truck soon.

I put a 2" AS spacer on my 05 xlt supercrew 2wd and found the front 3/4" higher than the rear, and that's with a heavy snuglid tonneau on the bed. I decided to go with the skyjacker 1.5" AAL and it made the rear a little over an inch higher than the front. Now when I tow the rear will be somewhat leveled out.

The ride isn't that much different than stock, it's a little more firm is all. I thought the stock leafpack was a bit soft on the freeway bumps, kind of caddy-ish. I have some pics in the gallery.

the leveling kit on the truck makes the frontend down just shy of dead level. think that will make it look to off with the rear being up?

The rear end is about 2.75-3 inches taller than the front when stock, so an AAL will only get you back to about 1.5-2 inches higher in the rear than the front. I have an FX4 with a 2 inch AS (about dead even at that time), then added the Pro Comp 1.5 inch AAL in the rear which gave me about 1.5-2 inches on the rear. Towing a 5200 load with about 400 lbs of tongue wgt puts the truck about par. I went with the Pro Comp over the Skyjacker because of price. These AALs are all the same except for the price. The Pro Comp part # is 13134. I got mine for about 79 bucks shipped from Summit Racing, and it took about 3 hours to install. The kit comes with new alignment pins but does not include new U-bolts as the old ones work fine. Good Luck.

Hey ford2004F150, there you are. I posted an entire thread trying to find pics of your truck last night. And I click on this thread and there it is.

I just installed the AAL leafs to my truck today. I thought I liked the leveled look, but I really like the look now. Plus everyone said that they make it ride a little rougher, I think it makes mine ride a little smoother.
