it might have come off the track somehow. hold the button that closes the window for a couple seconds and go back there and push the window over with your hands. if that doesnt fix it I dont know what to tell you.

Use it or lose it Im afraid. Someone here said if it doesnt get used for awhile the motor kinda wonks out. I had the same problem (screw windows,in this Fl heat I need a/c!) And now that I open it a couple times a week it hasnt stopped working. Press the buttion a few times in the next few days and it should work. After that try and use it once in a while...

Hope that helps,

Luis S

I'd say that your Whipple caused it. LOL! You pushed the pedal too hard, the window jumped off track...

Definitely a warranty issue... best of luck!

I did the suggested open and closing once a week that seems to be working now. The two times it has happened, I helped it open. Seems that the window gets stuck closed if it hasn't been used for awhile. Sort of like a parking brake...use them.

The same thing also happened to me about 10,000 miles ago. One day, the power sliding rear window would not open no matter how many times I pushed the button to open it. So I took it to my dealership and they found out that 59194 burned out and they replaced the power rear sliding window motor, and after they did that, the window worked normally again. Of course, it didn’t cost me a dime to get that repaired because it was covered under warranty. I haven’t had any problems with the window ever since the day they replaced the motor.

This seems to be the fix. It was me who suggested this after my tech said the motors seem to stick if not used very often. I don't drive my truck daily anymore but only once a week or ten days or so. I hit the window switch every time I get in it and it always works now. Guess its like you know what...use it or it rots!

Same thing here, just had it fixed yesterday. Although mine wasn't the motor but the motor switch. It actually quit work for a week or so, started working again, then quit for good. Oh well, I guess that's what the warranty is for. From now on, it's going to get exercised regularly

i bumped the switch on mine. pushed on the window and worked the switch. cursed a little and it still dont work. i hate going to the dealer.

is this covered under the 36mo/36000 mile or is it the 12 and 12000 part of the warranty.

i hate going to the dealer, did i already say that? if its not covered then i will get out the multi meter and figure it out, cause i hate going to the dealer.

My truck had over 60,000 miles on it when I took the truck in for the power sliding rear window problem. I have the extended warranty that last up to 75,000 miles, so the extended warranty covered it for me. You should have no problem getting it fixed under warranty whether it be the bumper to bumper warranty or the extended warranty.

Unhappy

Rear power sliding window will not move on my 05 Lariat w/20000 miles. I just bought the truck used a few weeks ago and it's still under warranty but what a bummer. No, I didn't try it before I bought it. I think it is the only button I didn't test and wouldn't you know. The dome light dims a little when I push the rocker switch so power is there but no sound or movement from the window. I've tried bumping the window in case it was stuck but no luck.. I guess I'll take it to the dealer Monday.
