Last weekend, the cap on the end of my shifter came off. I have the floor shifter and the flow through console in a 2004 FX4. I remember some posts about a Billet shifter in the past. Has anyone done that yet? I am going to take it back to the dealer to have this one fixed, becasue it is between the bumpers, and I have less than 36,000, and have only owned the truck for 19 months. I would like to upgrade though.

Nope, he abondoned that project, best idea would be some super glue.

 

some people have put the LT shifter on.

 

My cap on my shifter broke while under warrenty. The dealer replaced it with no problem.

The only upgrade I know of is to try the LT shifter handle.

 

Whats the LT shifter look like?

 

Its the same, just wrapped in leather.
