I don't believe it's a 'factory warranty' though... Was this a dealer incentive or a factory warranty? All of the 07's are going to come with such a beast... I'd hold out for the 'factory' version...

To me, it sounds like they're overstocked and need to move some inventory -- this is a dealer incentive to the customer probably...

Negatory. It's an incentive by FoMoCo on ALL 2007 vehicles, and 2006 ones also purchased on or after 7/14/06. They stepped up the warranty because of competition with imports. I just received a big news relese about it today in my inbox. Good stuff actually...

Why did I buy this 06 in Feb?

Screwed on the Luxury Package and now a vastly improved warranty.

I guess I lucked out buying the wife's 2006 Expedition a few weeks later than planned. The dealer printed out the 60/60,000 warranty info and put it into the old warranty guide.

My dealer wasn't 100% sure, but he thought the 60 month/60,000 mile power train warranty extends to all 2006 model year vehicles (no deductable). Info was still a little sketchy even for the dealers last Friday.

I wonder if they will pass this on to trucks that were previously leased. I'm leasing mine right now since I trade in a lot, but I think I'm going to go buy this one when the lease ends (finally got exactly what I've been looking for).

Is there any chance that Ford might honor the extended warranty for those of us with an '06 that was bought within a few months of this offer?

What do you think?

Got mine at the buzzer with no time out...took delivery 07-14-06. I was told the bumper to bumper is still 3 year 36,000 mile and drive train extends to 5 year 60,000
