Warn Transformer Winch Bumper

Does anyone have the Transformer on their truck? What do u think of it? Is it of good quality or flimsy? I want to put a winch bumper on my truck, but i dont want to spend the kind of money Road Armor wants for their product. Since there arnt many choices out there for those of us with a 2004 or later f150, i figured i'd settle for the Warn Transformer if is any good.

Thanks
Joel

Ranch hand doesn't have a grill guard that has a winch mount, nor do they have a front end replacement with a winch for the 04 and newer F-150. Only thing they have is a front end replacement that has the reciever hitch and you could use a winch on a movable mount. I wish very badly they would make them. I'd rather have ranch hand. Saving money for a transformer now.

Are those the procomp lights on the front? looks like if I get these, I should not have a problem to clear the winch. How much are they running for?

i had the transformer on my last truck (chevy 2500hd). It was rigged with a warn m12000. the guard held up great. my only problem was that it rusted some on the inside of the piping around the lights. this caused the rust to drip out where they connect. it is very strong and overall i was happy with the product.

As far as everything warn makes being great i do not agree. they have nice products but you are really just paying for the name in some cases. i had some trouble with the winch that i was not very happy about.

Thanks fellas for the info. I reckon ill be saving some money for the Transformer.
One more question though, is it heavy enough to protect against an animal?

Thanks
Joel

Who really want to try that??? I don't know yet, I did not hit a deer and anyway, I am sitting a little bit higher than stock, so it might work. It is attached to the frame, so it would handle the shock but the animal might fly over...and that is in the windshield

I went to 4wheelparts to get it (locally). They order it and put it on for me. I know to change the oil but that is about it for the mechanical thing for the price,

winch carrier 124.99 (war29394)
winch 9.5xp (9,600 pounds) 1085.99 (war68500)
brush guard kit 189.99 (war66405)
trans4mer 572.99 (war66400)

basically, you would get out of it for approximately $1,700. This break down gives you all the parts you need if you want the same as mine but there are other options.

I had a $200 rebate.

I would say call 4wheelparts or even go to warn website. On the Warn website, they have some pdf files showing you what you need plus the parts numbers.

I hope it helped and take care

I like the Big Country Pull Pro winch bumper. It has a little more style to it than the WARN and it costs a lot less.
