Steering Stabilizer for a 2006?

Does anyone make a steering stabilizer for a factory suspension?

Nope, sorry. I was looking for one this winter and called almost all the aftermarket suspension companys and no one had anything for a stock truck. Screw2004 made a Fabtech stabilizer work, but he had to customize a few things. What I was told by the tech guys at everyplace that I called was, that with a rack and pinion system you will not need a stabilier until you get into the 37" range for tires, although some use them with 35's.

The reason that I was looking for one was that I had a shimmy in the steering wheel. I was told to have the tires rebalanced and finally after the third time at the tire shop the shimmy is gone.

I will have to try that again. I have the shimmy around 50-60 mph, but only on certain roads. I thought it may be due to the widder tire, but I will check with the tire center.

Thats exactly what my truck did, I mean exactly. I also thought that is was the wider tires, which I think just makes the inbalance that much more noticable. But once balanced correctly its all smooth sailing now.

PHS79,

I just got back from the tire shop and they found both were a little off and it is alot better. I still have a slight, but good enough. Thanks for your help.

They dont make one for factory suspension but you could make it work.

Screw 2004 made it work on his set-up.
