How much was this mod?
How hard was the install?
Do you have any whistling coming from the hole you drilled?
Where did you drille the hole?

I'd say around $300, I had to buy various bits. I actually am not sure on the cost the spotlight might have been $260 or so, I can't recall that number just comes to mind. Make sure you do NOT use a 1-speed electric drill with torque out the ***...nearly broke my wrist, drilling into the a-pillar your bits will jam into the metal and it will get annoying. The install was more of a pain in the ***, wondering if it will go in wrong seeing as the bit would get jammed and not go in straight, it's a bit difficult but not terrible. The reason it's somewhat difficult to drill is you're not drilling directly down into the metal, it's at an angle. No whistling and no leaking at all, there is a small rubber gasket. I drill the hole just below the oh chit bar.

I would really love to do this mod, but I think it's just too irreversible. I use my 1 million candlepower cigarette lighter spotlight all the time especially at the beach, and having this mod would make it alot easier that having to drag that thing out every time...

Josiah - is this one like the one you installed? $139.99 doesn't sound bad...

pillar light

try using a unibit instead of a twist bit. they come in all different lenghts and diameters. a little pricy, but cheap when compared with a broken or sprained wrist. these bits are the only way to go when drilling sheet metal or curved metal.

x2

Unibits or step bits are the way to go when drilling into metal.
