A.R.E. Truck Cap

My wife and I foster dogs for the local humane society. In addition to our two dogs we can have up to 4 dogs being fostered at any time. I have a 2005 Super Crew XLT, we have been talking about putting a cap on the back and the Z series looks like a good option. does anyone have that cap and how much did you pay?

Thanks.

I've got the cheap model ARE on my Hemi work truck and it's great. I looked at the Z series for my Lariat Screw and the shop I that I deal with all the time quoted me $1500 installed ? Don't know if that is high or low just too much for me right now.

The ARE Z series glues the rear window to to the hinges. There is no mechanic connection. Lowest I found for the Z around here was $1600.

The Century Royal has the same look for $400 less. It comes with two handles instead of the silly slam latches. Really can't beat the two handles for durability & simplicity.

thanks for all the great info. how much are they getting for the installation? Seems like it shouldnt be that hard to put it on, just put it on and clamp it in place.

If ANY place tells you it's extra to install a cap, tell them to do the 100 yard dash in a 50 yard room. It was included at every single establishment I checked around here.
