Going to Level 3 on edge Question

I am going to go to level 3 on my enge im running level 2 right now with 87 gas . What is the best way to change over to 93 so i dont mess this up. I was thinking of waiting till im almost empty the put the edge back to stock them go get the 93 and run link a day so all the 87 is flushed out im just scared of messing up my truck. Also what are the setting every one would do to make the truck really perform great. What should I set the timing to for the 93 gas?

Any help would be great

You don't really have to wait until 100% of the 87 (or whatever you're using) is out of the tank, just run it down to 1/8th or less and go straight to the performance tune. 1/8th is only 16.875 Litres in a 135L tank. (I'm Canadian and too lazy to convert but you get the idea). Not going to make a difference. I had slightly less than 1/8th in my tank because I don't like to suck up the sludge that usually accumulates at the bottom of the gas tank.
I put my timing at +1 with 93 and didn't have any problems. The rule of thumb apparintly is +0.5 for every octane above the recommended (91) so I went with that with no pinging or anything, I haven't tried any higher for no reason then just because.
...And remember, it takes some time for the PCM to properly learn the new tune.

I just went from level 2 to level 3. The only high octane gas out here is BP and its only 92. It used to be 93. I feel a difference from level 2 to level 3. I was running level 2 for about a week and a half. The only issue I have is the 4th gear shudder when I depress the throttle a little form 0. I wonder if this is bad for my tranny. I didnt have that problem with level 2.

When I made the swap from lvl-1 to lvl-3 I ran the truck below 1/4 tank, then refueled with 93. Especially on WOT pulls, the truck feels a LOT better; the truck doesn't feel like such a pig when pulling out in traffic.

Yesterday I was ~1/2 tank, and I pulled into a local 7-Eleven to refuel. I PAID for 93 octane, but the truck didn't like the gas at all. At part-throttle with less than 50% load the truck would feel like it was kicking back at me. The best way to describe it is the truck would lose power, then pick back up, etc. I knew the fuel must have been crap, so I put went to a conservative lvl-2 tune until I run this tank out.

Run it to about 1/8 of a tank, fill it up with 93 octane, and switch to level 3. Switching back to stock first is a waste of time.

The best setting for timing is the one with the most advanced timing but without pinging. Like I said in my previous post the rule of thumb is +0.5 timing for every octane level above 91 and also I belive +1 degree of timing for every 2500ft above see level (search for posts by ASEMechanic to confirm that, he was an engeneer that designed it). Just listen for pinging under load.
Every truck is different so I can't give you a specific number.
