Edge here today.. question about gas?

I ordered the Edge Evo yesterday to ship overnight (THANKS discountpowerparts.com - these guys are awesome)..

Right now I have 1/2 tank of regular gas...

How do I handle? I want to get the Edge installed today, but what is best way to handle to run level 3? Wait until tank is empty to fill with prem?

Yup, Edge tells you to make changes slowly to let the computer adjust. I never loaded level three right away, I loaded every tune and drove some and than made changes to the programs.

Damn the man. I'm too excited to wait.

Oh well. So I should load level 2 and drive a bit first?

Can I load level one with the 1/2 tank of reg?

I'd load level 2 first, yes you can with that 1/2 tank of reg. I'd drive out that 1/2 tank and you'll be fine to load level three.

Load level 2, you will be happy with it then start filling premium to load level 3. Give the truck a few days to learn and it will get better. Enjoy it.

Yes. When you choose level two it gives you a message saying you must have at least 87 Octane. (regular gas)

whats the octane rating of your premium? Just so you know level 3 is for 91 octane and if you run 93 you can move the timing up 1 degree. Also I think the setting for the WOT fuel at level 3 is set to high (1.5). On level 2 it like 1.25. These are default settings. I personally like to run it at 1.3 to 1.35 because of my intake. The reason that I'm telling you this is if you have the stock intake 1.5 maybe to much and you could put it around what level 2 setting is.

Also if you want I have a few custom splash screens made if you want them. If you search theres another guy that has some.

Enjoy the edge, because it fun.
Eric

Level 2 is awesome, it will take some time for you to adjust to how firm the shifts are now. In fact I like level 2 so much on 89 octane I dont even think im going to bother trying Level 3.

So far about 6 miles on it. Went to lunch.

LOVE it so far. Excited to see what level 3 has to offer, but I still have 206 miles to empty on the tank

redrascal - I'd love some splash screens...
