the mud flaps are likely a commercial vehicle thing, and seeing's how the superduties are classed as a commercial vehicle capabilites they require mud flaps. all vehicles are supposed to have rear mudflaps it the bumper is higher then x" off the ground and commercial vehicles are the ones that get picked on by the DOT bears the most about that, its one of those old P&A laws.

It must be a Canadian thing, around here only dualies have mudflaps.

Dually's don't have to run them around here, neither do dumptrucks, garbage trucks, tractor/trailers, milk trucks, ect. WI state law says that only bobtailing semis must run flaps. But back on topic a little, I do love the HD superdutys!!!!! I have never been a big fan of flame, except on those trucks!
