goop for squeeky brakes

Hi Guys,

I am no machanic and I have had new ceramic pads put on to get rid of the squeek when braking. Now the squeek is permanent while driving and is driving me nuts. Some have suggest to buy some orange goop for squeeky brakes from an auto parts store but I am unsure on how to apply it.

Can someone run down on how to put it on the brakes? Pics would be nice

Thanks for any help

You apply it LIGHTLY to the back of the pad.

Thanks for the info but I was curious on the actual procedure. Do you have to take off the pad, the calipers, both inner and outer pads? Do you coat the entire back part of the pad?

I am ignorant when it comes to mechanics and need HELP

pull the caliper off. take the pads out and apply the compound to the back of the pads. the side that does not contact the rotor. this needs to be between the pad and the caliper. it has always worked for me in the past. i started using it on every brake job.
