How do I change my fuel filter???

Guys, I have the tool to replace my fuel filter( the chrome X-shaped tool I got at pep boys), Do I just insert the tool into the line and press it to unlock the clips? Thanks for the help, also I was told to unscrew the filler cap to releive pressure in the lines.

I thought it would be really hard to do but it only took 2 minutes. Place the tool with on the fuel line with the disconnector facing the hose connector. push in and pull out and thats about it. I let my truck sit overnight so the pressure would not be to high. Remember to use safety glasses. Good luck

I paid $10 for a metal one at Auto Zone. Takes about 10 minutes to change the filter. The filter cost me $12 at parts store for a Motorcraft. Dealer quotes $65 to change it.
