Yes, it is.

Somewheres between 35,000 and 85,000 miles depending upon the driver, truck, road surfaces, speed, payload, where you is, where you're going, tire quality and a bunch of other stuff.

It depends on numerous factors.

What type of tires are you talking about?

Mud Tires, all-terrain tires, street tires, etc?

Here is the deal I have an '04 Screw with Continetal Contitrac tires they have approx. 14500 miles on them. The dealer ship today confirmed that my tires need to be replaced. I feel the tires should last longer than that, should I attempt to complain about these pos tires or should I just say "eh had a good run" and get new tires on my dime?

Thanks,
Joe

Have them warranty'd out!
I had the dealership give me new tires at 35,000 miles, I got some letter from ford before hand and they said they now cover tires 3 yr/36k ( dont know if that still holds true today ) so I told dealership my tires were wearing quickly.

They had no issue and got me tires within a week.

I got the same letter in the mail. I can't remember what the specifics where (like if it had to deal with specific tires or not). I'm doing my best to wear my Rugged Trails out so I can do some upgrading to some real tires.

If I remember correctly, from some of the posts I've read around here....those continential tires are POS.

Yeah, I agree with Teck, they should last longer than that for sure. If your dealer don't want to fix it then I would try another dealer. That's ridiculously low mileage.

I heard that too about those tires too.
I had BF G's on my truck and they replace them.

I am currently at 29,000 on that same tire and they look like they should go 40,000 or so. You should get a new set.
