Mickey Thompson or Nitto

Hey guys...im split between getting the nitto terra grappler in 305/55/20 or the Mickey Thompson baja ATZ 325/50/20. Both tread patterns looks great and price is about the same...which one would you use? thanks

I would say the Nitto if you are not planning much craziness. From what I understand the mickey thompson are 10 ply which makes them very heavy. A buddy of mine had them and he said they had a lot of bump steer and felt like they always needed to be balanced. Hope this helps , Bud. Only what Ive heard but the guy knows what he is talking about.

I went with the Mickey's and would do it again. The look more agressive than the nittos but actually ride really well. They are 10 ply so they stiffen up the ride a little. The noise isn't bad at all and as far as the balancing i haven't had any problems.

Good to hear. How many miles do you have on them? Maybe my friend is just picky. The MTs do look a lot better. I looked into those but went with the baja claw radials. I think my friend has around 7,000 miles on his.

I'd go with the Nitto TGs. I've had them before, and other than them not being able to balance correctly, they were GREAT tires. There is always a bad batch out there no matter what tire you go with. Just keep that in mind.
