Question Who to believe...?

So, I just replaced my useless, flat-spotted Goodyear Wranglers, with only 36,000 miles on them, with some BFG Rugged Trails. No fancy size, just the standard 275/65/R18 fit.

Tire pressure question...

BFG say the max pressure (on the tire wall) is 35PSI.
Ford say the max tire pressure (inside my door) is 40PSI.
My tire dealer pumped them to 45 PSI.

Who do I believe? I'm inclined to go with BFG.

Suggestions?

I would think BFG would know best.

The difference is because the tires you got rid of are load range C tires. Light truck (LT) tires. Max pressure 50. The tires you bought are P series or passenger car tires with a max of 35.You probably should run them at max or close to max on the F150.
