I've had mine on for about 2 years now. I too love them... One question though - how did you get the clearance lights wired up? I don't know about your truck, but mine doesn't have a normal wire loom & grommet going from the cab to the door. Mine has a 'plug' type of connector. Do you have the same? If so, how did you get them hooked up? Any pics?

Your truck must have came from Dearborn i believe? I think those have the plastic conector. I have the grommet so running the wire was simple. Im telling you, the clearance light is a MUST....looks great at night from the front end. I had heard of guys drilling a certain hole out but im not positive.

Yeah, I just can't bring myself to drill a hole through my door and cab. But I agree, I'd LOVE to have those suckers hooked up.

They drill a hole through the plastic plug not the door.

A couple of things I noted in the review that stuck out, other than what seems obvious to me were...

"The mirrors are supplied with polished black covers that can be painted to match the vehicle. Chrome and 'US Flag' theme covers are also available. "

Can be painted to match the vehicle. Okee dokee. I would assume then these are plastics. A little bit of sanding, some TSP cleaning, some adhesion promoter, followed by color coat, wet sand, color coat, etc... until clear coat, then dry. These things look like they'd be a sweet addition to any late model F150...

"The mirrors are manual telescoping and available in three choices: 1) Manual, 2) Electric & heat, and 3) Electric, heat, turn signals & clearance lights."

Okay on #3. What additional wiring do you need to do if you only currently have power non heated mirrors, with no turn signals?

The telescoping feature, as well as the integrated clearance lights / turn signals is more than enough to sell me on these. Top that off with the added rearward visibility these things offer, and I am SOLD!

Great, another mod I can't afford for a while... Stupid house problems...

I too only have power mirrors with no heat or turn signal. What other wiring has to be done to make the heated, turn signal, power mirror version work?

1) signal= run wire to + side of turn signals
2) heat= run wire from a switch (you provide) and hook into correct pin on harness plug (not sure which one)
3)clearance light= run wire (provided with mirrors) to the headlamp switch and tap into brown wire.

Or just trade your truck off and get a Lariat

JK...

But yeah, its simple to wire them up. I had factory turn signals and heat so everything was done for me. I just had to wire in the clearance lights to the brown wire behind the lights switch.
