I am not sure how heavy the 18's are.

 

is that the weight rating on the 20's?

 

I sold a set on eBay and had to weigh them. The tire, rim, lug nuts, & center cap were approximately 89 lbs.

 

Is $195 shipping from Irvine, CA to Miami, FL on all four pirelli tires and 20" wheels a decent price? DHL is the carrier. Any ideas? Would the use of an account number get me a better rate? Thanks guys!

that's not to bad for that distance. You could try "Old Dominion" freight also. They might be a little cheaper.

That's an awesome deal! The center caps aren't the same though as the ones on my truck. I wonder if they switched center cap design midway through the year.

Since I have been considering the same swap, I did a bit of research on Tirerack.com to get an idea of the weight difference of the bigger tires.

From my stock size of 255/65/17 (34lbs)

265/55/20 (47lbs)

for a 13 lb difference in each tire.

I currently have a set of Mich's that are 265/70/17's that weigh 40 lbs.

An 18" wheel is about 32 lbs, while a 20" is about 37lbs.

Just for comparison.

Thanks for the info. It's not a good move for mileage, and braking, cost of replacement, but worth it for the looks...maybe... I think one day I'd like to run a 20 inch wheel and 33s. It's not going to be the wisest decision for the select few of us that actually have to pay the difference. Lotsa guys here are not paying for their trucks, mods, fuel, or insurance like lotsa us here. (Not implying you expy03, but some others here).

 

I will be more then happy to give you my zip and you can send me your 20s. You know just trying to free up some space for you
