UWS Toolbox

I have a 06 f150 FX4 reg cab. I went to one shop and the guy 06 f150s can't use jhooks and if you do they will be have to be at an angle "crooked", you need to let me drill holes. I said no and went somewhere else.

The next shop said they did'nt know what they were doing, jhooks will work fine.

My black label box will be in monday.

Anyone have knowledge of jhooks not working on the new f150s?

Thanks. I would think an 06 would be the same.

LMAO! Why wouldn't they work?

I've been running J-Hooks on my UWS Low-Pro for a while now. First on my 2004 which had a LOT of offroad abuse and now on my 2006. No problems.

It might not matter, but I am not getting a low-pro. I like the side space of the standard box.

The rails on my 06 were closer togther than the rails on my 99 duty. I had to drill new holes in my tool box to make the j-hooks work.

I have never owned a toolbox although I wish I had one...at times. Would give me more lighting ideas and room to store my recovery gear, tools, etc (currently in the back seat getting trampled on, pipe ). Maybe I should just get that underseat cargo bin like Myst has. Every toolbox I've used on our construction trucks had cheap locking mechanisms that never kept up, they also felt cheap when opening and closing the lids (often times had trouble closing and unlocking). Are there any solid box's you guys own that differ from my description?
