Where to? Edge Question

I've settled on getting an Edge Evolution for my 2004 F-150 Supercrew /w 5.4. My question is where would be a good place to order it from that will have the best blend of Price AND customer service and/or reputation. Don't really want to go "just" with the cheapest price unless that place also has a decent reputation.

thanks

Those of us in on the group buy back in December used truckracingparts.com. I had to call them a couple of times about my order and never had a problem with their customer service.

If you decide to purchase from them, be sure to check out the discount coupon codes (see the "Bargain Patrol" link at the top of their Web page). I think their current price for the Edge with the coupon code is better than the group buy price!

I got mine from truck racing also. Great customer service. Any questions you may have will be with Edge them selves not the company you bought it from.

Will the Edge kill my factory warranty. Is it hard to remove and uninstall the software in my truck if I need to take it to the dealer. It looks like a great product.

It depends on the dealer. Mine doesn't care. Some have horror stories.

But if you are not sure, return the vehicle to stock a few days before taking it to the dealer and you should have enough driving to clear anything. But I'm sure if the tech is good, he can figure out it had a tuner on it.

Installing and un-installing is very easy. Just don't do anything until you read the manual, front to back.

enjoy.

And dont raise your rev limiter or top speed. Those two are stored permanentaly in the computer and they can see you have changed them even if you turn them back.

I have a question regarding the Edge tuner and the mounting pod that comes with it; Have any of you guys taken the truck for service and left the Edge/Pod on the dash? I can see returning the tune back to stock but what about the unit itself if it's mounted in the pod?

I left mine there when I took my truck in to get a fog light replaced and a sweaky passager seat. The service writer asked what it was and I told him gauges. Then showed him what each of them were, he thought that was a pretty cool set-up and said "I have never seen that before, should get something like that for mine". And no one ever said anything else about it.

How many miles should my truck have before I can install the Edge. Is it ok to put it on a new truck. Is it going to mess with my dash electronics like the MPG and trip deals?

I was wondering the same thing. But, this is what I did and it seemed to work well for me.

I waited 1,000 miles to load the 'Transmission Only' program, another 1,000 miles to load '87 Towing' and another 1,000 to load '93 Performance' Have fun with it!

However, I do know a lot of Mustang guys who start modding them soon as they get them home from the dealer and they don't seem to have anymore problems because of it.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered my New K&N Gen II FIPK and an Edge Evolution. Pins and needles till they get here.

Any tips/tricks/advice on what I'll need to know to install both of these?
