Guys, I NEED HELP!

This is not good. I was calling around yesterday and today for prices on tires and wheels. NO ONE has the Toyos or can even get them. Most every place said they don't expect to get them for a while and a few shops tried to tell me that they could order them and see when they came in, yeah right! But, heres my DILEMA! I had everything picked out, the Fabtech lift with Neeper Vandals 20x8.5 wrapped in Toyo Open Country M/Ts 35x12.50x20. Seriously if I can't get those tires, whats out there? Theres not much. I know the Xterrains but they are 13.50s and wouldn't work that well with a 8.5" rim and Im not doing Nitto MGs again. Whats out there guys? Any help?

hey thump- i was getting the info to update my tuning sheets before they ship my xc2 and i read that the procomps are good from 8" up to 12" on rim width- so if you had to settle on the xterrains, the 13.5 x20 would run you fine http://www.procomptires.com/xt3plyapps.htm

Thumper, I think I'd take that as a sign from above that you should really do a 2/4 drop on your truck and install some nice rims and street tires!

If you really want the toyo's check some canadian retailers. They seem to have more of them in stock. When the 35/12.5/18 were on a national backorder i got 6 of them in 2 days. A Place called tire country in edmonton should be able to help you out.

How much though? . . and wouldn't shipping be killer?

Does anyone know how much the Nitto MG 35/12.50/20 weighs, as well as the Toyo Open Country M/T? Im trying to compare the weights of tires.

Thumper why dont you want to go with the Nittos, the toyos are made in the same factory, just a different tread pattern? Just curious.

I've already had the Nittos and honestly, I wasn't that impressed with them.

The tread pattern is a completely different direction of look that Im trying to do with this truck.

They only make up to a 18" wheel.

You could check with 1010tire dot com or tiretrends dot com. They are both canadian that ship to the states.

EDIT: Just checked both. The toyo's are 559.00 USD from 1010tire and the 35/12.5/20 toyo's aren't listed on tiretrends but if you call them they will get them i'm sure. They have the mud grapplers in 20's at tiretrends for like 500.00CDN/each.

I had 35" XTerrains on a 7" stock jeep wheel on my jeep and that ran just fine but they were 15" wheels with a lot more sidewall.

If you have a 4 wheel parts near you ask if they are having deals or if they can make a deal for you. I bought my xterrains from them for buy 3 get one free.

But, what do you think about Xterrains on those wheels and lift?

trytokeepup

Nope, October.

bubba joe

I just looked at the website again and it says for the 13.50 you can use a 8-12" wide wheel.
