Best Shackles on 4x2?

Which ones are best and where can I get the best deal?

I've read good things about Belltech and Ground Force by searching. Any thoughts?

Looking to level out the rake on the rear of my 4x2 XLT.

Hands down I'd go with the GroundForce kit!

As far as I know, they're the only ones who include the pinion shims from the get-go, and if you read many threads on shackles around here, you'll soon learn that you have a better-than-average chance of having a vibration problem if you don't install your shims from the start!

Save yourself the headaches and do it right once, instead of having to go back after-the-fact and install your shims!

Actually I like the DJMs better because you have the choice between a 2in and 1.5in drop with them. IMO the 1.5 looks way better than the 2in (the 2in makes it look like the back is squatting). They don't come with shims but if you go with the 1.5in you don't need them and only in some cases with the 2in.

FYI -- the GroundForce shackles are also adjustable between a 1.5" and 2" drop. The 1.5" drop will leave you with a slight rake, while the 2" drop should bring you just about level.

I installed the Ground Force with the shims and love the look, had no problems.

Lee, i don't know about the best deal, but I got mine at a truck accessory store in North Richland Hills, North Fort Worth. I paid $98 for the kit and $40 for installation. That was better for me than buying online and doing the installation myself. The online price was somewhere around $65 or $67. I made an apointment and it took them about an hour and a half.

Ground Force is the best, they come with the shims. I think there is a set in the classifieds on this site.
