security system

I want to get a 2 way lcd pager alarm with remote start, but there are so many different makers that i don't know which one is better, If you have one in your vehicle can you please tell me which one you have and how well do you like it, and does it have long range distance. I can get a viper with the 2 way pager (the blue one)and all relays needed for $299 including installation. Thanks

Thats a good price, I have the Automate DEI and it works great. Love the inside temp read out on the remote. Plus it comes with and lcd remote and a regular 4 button remote also known as the wifes remote. 1/2 mile paging and 1000ft starting. Life time warrenty. I paid $425 no tax.

Talking Code Alarm CA-670

go to e-bay, buy the code alarm CA-670, it is an upgrade to the factory installed Keyless entry system. Tuff part is finding someone to install it.
I went to the dealership's installer, asked him if he wanted to work a Saturday morning and make $50.00 CASH? Hell everyone wants to get the tax free dollar, he jumped at it. If he had not, I would have went to the next dealer etc, until I found a hungry installer. The CA-670 is a two way system, alarm, ignition kill, plus remote start and a lot more.

I saw it on ebay for around $150-$160 and it looks nice but I trust the Viper more and it comes installed. Did anyone that has the Ca-670 have to buy any extra relays and harnesses.

I own a CA670 that I purchased from kcautosound. I installed it on my wife's O5 Expedition. I bought it about 6 months ago and just recently got around to installing it a few weeks ago. The system is awesome. I also got the Car-Link system for it that allows my wife to call the alarm system with her phone and either arm/disarm or remote start it from anywhere. Goes way beyond the distance of a transmitter. The unit has all internal relays. Travis (the owner) wired up the system for me and with it came a detailed step-by-step installation manuel that he typed up. Basically telling me what wires to go to. What i'm looking for when I test them with a test light or volt meeter. The unit took me a bit to do since I had only done like one other system before but all-in-all it wasn't too bad. I recently purchased a 06 F150 and will definately be purchasing another system from them. He is higher and told me his prices come with his customer service and tech help. I was working on the system late and he actually called me a few times to see how my installation was going. I had a problem with getting the PKF3 bypass module programmed for the PATS system and he walked me right through it.

I too looked at the systems on Ebay but I am really happy that I purchased it from KC. He is an AUTHORIZED code seller and ex Viper tech. He knows his stuff. Not trying to sell for him just thought I'd put my two cents in since someone mentioned his name. I ran into him on www.ford-trucks.com He is the sponsor for the car audio forum section on that site and someone mentioned this site on there. Now that I own a F150 is see lots of time spent on both of these sites.

I've got the Audiovox Pro 9800. Took it out of my '05 and put it in my '06 so I've had it for just about a year. Works perfectly, 2 way remote, etc...
