T Case over flow

OK so today I decided to check out my truck and everything and I went to check the t case and befor I got the top "fill" plug out it started to flow out fluid. How was my T case overfilled? I pluged it back up befor if all flooded out so I dont really know how much it was over filled, and yes I was removing the top plug makred FILL. Also what color should it be it uses micron right so it should look like tranny fluid right? also I only have 22k on my 04 and hardly never use the 4x4 but why did my t case fluid look so dirty?

I got to thinking, do you think it is over filled because I leveled it? I mean when it was filled the front was 2.5 inches lower and at that slope do you guys think bringing up the front caused the overfill?

Schedule an appt at your local dealer, the output seal may be leaking, allowing fluid to leak from the trans into the transfer case.. this has been a cause for recent concern here at my dealer.
