getting the rear end "clunk" fixed

How many of you guys have the same issue? When I accelerate from a stop I get one or two nasty clunking sounds from what feels like the rear axle??? I don't really know, but it isn't consistent, it happens randomly, and has only got worse. Seems to happen more when the truck is hot, like after I've been on the highway for awhile. Dunno, just curious if any out there has the same problem? Hopefully it's getting fixed right now, I'll know by monday.

Mine has had the slip yoke greased for this same problem. It has been gone for some time but on cold mornings leaving the driveway it is starting to do it again.

My truck was in the shop for this problem this week, they replaced the driveshaft. Smooth as butter now.

I have only had the truck for 3 months so I dont know if this issue had been addressed on this truck prior to my problem. But yes, they replaced it the first time I complained.

I had the same problem on my 2004 F-150. They greased the slip yolk about 3 times before they decided they'd replace the DS and that was the end of that problem.

Have you guys looked at all the TSB's on our trucks??? Whats the deal? Should I be concerned about any of them?

On my 05, had slip yoke lubed 2x. My would clunk only when cold ( had to park it at dealer overnight for them to verify it ) and the lube 'fixed' it for about 1-2k miles. Noticed a tsb for driveshft replacement for it but had already traded the truck before 3rd time back.
