Vent Guards?

I've spent the last 15 minutes searching but really couldn't come up with a good answer. Which ones look the best and perform the best? I've seen a lot of posts about Weathertech and AVS. But, no real general opinion on which is the best. I'd really rather not have to use any tape. But, I guess if it will work and look better than thats fine. Hopefully, someone will also be able to hook me up with a place to purchase them from.

Alright guys, my rambling is done now hook me up with some answers!!!

I have EGR In-channels on my truck and love them. I have had a couple problems installing them on some f-150s but for the most part they are great. The weathertechs are also very good but are more expensive that teh EGRs. I have never had a fitment issue with them at all. Weathertech also has different shades of tint as well as clear ones. Here are a couple pics of mine.

I have EGR in-channels too and love them. They look great! I had no problem installing them. You need the double stick tape.. but I left my windows up for two days in October when I did it.. and that sealed them up good.
Good luck with your search.

I have the AVS in-channels. Look and work great. AVS and Lund are the same thing. I use to install them when I worked at a dealer. Never had any problems or complaints.

I have used Weather-tech and Vent-Visor in the past. The weather-tech were more money, and in my opinion, not worth the extra cash. The vent-visors that I have were for a Nixxan Xterra as well as a Ford Ranger. I did not like the Xterra set. They taped to the outside, on the paint. Worked well, but did not look clean.

The ones for my Ranger taped to the outside, but it taped on the rubber trim. This was great!!! Did not hamper the window operation. And looked clean from the side. After a hail storm, I got the ones that actually taped to the inside of the channel. They two worked well.

Now my 04 F-150 came with Draw-Tite brand inchannel vents. They seemed to pop inplace (no tape) and are held in when the window is up. They work well, but my driverside window catches the vent some times. So I need to reach out and pull the vent outwards to let the window go up. Plus I have noticed a little more wind noise with the in-channel vents. But not bad. I also like the ones I have because they not only go on the top of the window, but also in the verticle part where the mirror meets the window.

I was actually looking for the same answers. I want to take mine off and put new ones back on. I would prefer the tape on the outside to the rubber gasket. but I also like havinf the vent cover the mirroe side as well.

Can ya'all throw up some pics of your vents. More so closer up so we can see how they mount??

I put the AVS in-channel on my truck a couple of months ago. I am very happy with them. Even my wife likes them - wants me to put a set on her Passat now. Best price I found at the time was at Stylin Concepts.

$48.88 plus tax same day pickup sound good? You can even order/pay online, and then pickup at the store of your choosing. I don't want to get in any hot water for advertising here, but the chain store starts with an A and doesn't end in zone.

I have the LUND In channel vents. I dont have any wind noise that everyone talks about. I love em and they work great. I believe I paid about 50$ for the SCREW ones from Summit Racing.
