all at once

Alright,, yes i am a noob,, yes i did a search,, and yes i have done some research on products available. I have a 2004 4x2 xlt 4.6 supercrew. I want to go pretty big. I am looking at going w/ a pro comp 6inch lift w/ the daystar 2.5 kit and a taller block in the rear. With that lift i can either clear 20's and 35's or 22's and 35's cant really decide which to go with. I really wanted to go w/ 22's and 37's but i was told i would need to regear and the steering system couldnt take it. Need input thanks

It is possible to go with the 37s without regearing but I dont know what you are talking about with the steering . I have seen lots of people with 37s...some regear some havent
but if you go with the 35s I wouldnt get the block and spacer.

Your balljoint wont handle the 6 inch kit with the 2.5 spacer, even if you did make it work I wouldnt do it. You would be better off with the procomp lift and a body lift. As far as 37's go with a 4.6 I would deffinitly regear it! Even at that it will loose tons of power.

I appologize and I am not flaming you, but why are you putting 8.5" of lift on a 4x2? The Screw's look great and very proportionate with the 6" lift and the 35" tires. Considering the weight of the truck and the lift you are looking at, I would really recommend a regear to 4.56 or 4.88 to get it all moving, but your hwy driving will be seriously impacted. With the 35's you could probably do fine with 4.10's, a tuner, intake and exhaust. Also thee backspacing of the wheels will have an impact on what you run and if you rub, so make sure to pay close attention there.

As for the steering, Josiah would be the guy who's had thee most problems, so he would be better qualified to answer that.

haha. Look at my truck. My truck is a 2x4 lariat. I have the 6 inch procomp lift w/ 4x4 coilovers to it probably sits at about 8 inches of lift. I have 35's on my truck. It rules and looks good, and I love it!

even though you have 8 inches of lift....the 4X4 sits like 2-3 inches higher than the 4X2 so no different than the 4X4 ....but by the way...i love your truck..i wanna eventualyl get those total chaos arms

Thanks man! I do have the 4x4 coilovers cranked all the way down to allow me to install my uniball uppers, because the uniballs were maxed out with the coils cranked up. I am looking at getting some 4wd knuckles for my truck because they are longer and I can crank back up the coils to get to sit just as high as the 4wd's.
