My truck is in my sig and had a built date of 03/04. The problems that I have had are just annoying, nothing major.

I had the driverside fog light replaced because of moisture in it. I had them look at the passager seat because of an annoying sqeak on rough roads (of course it wouldn't do it when the dealership had the truck). Now there is a rattle, almost like a loose heat shield when in drive and stopped , I will have them look at that since I can't find it.

Thats about it.... This is the MOST problems that I have had with a Ford truck, my 94 was never touched by a wrench or mech except for oil changes and tires until 100,000 miles. So I have had really good luck with my trucks!!!!

04 Scab

'04 SCAB ,
40,000
2x4
3055 non ls
5.4
-had the recall rear light seal replaced (never saw a problem) (warranty)
-had some vibration problems in the beginning, but went the different route and got new tires which were Force balanced and all the vibration disappeared.
-have had what others are calling a chirping of the drive belt only on certain cold mornings. Since it is not a problem here in TX, I will probably just wait to get the new belt till this one is worn.
-also had the works/most work lights in the drivers door panel for the window switches.
No work done.
Rides fast and clean. Likes to hum down the road.
Did, no do, have some brake dust, but it brakes fine, no problems.

78,000 4.6 screw XLT 12/03 KC plant.

The lights for power window switches on drivers console out. The odometer light went out at 36,489 still out. Belt squeal after edge mod. Cold start ticking always. Dealer re-flash @ 30,000 for outside temp gage temp off and also helped truck run better.

I like this truck but I need a 5.4.

No real problems to speak of with my '04 Scab... although, for some reason the passenger window button on the driver's side sometimes goes out.

Great Truck (all in all)

'04 Lariat 2x4 built 17 July 03 in Norfolk. These early production units were held in a special "parking" lot on Virginia Beach highway for a month or more it has been reported. After 12 K miles I have no problems except the A/C - fixed pcm covered under warrenty.

My truck was built 10 days after yours in Norfolk. Funny how one truck can have little to no problems and another (in my case 10 days later) can have all sorts of issues.

04 Lariat cab 4x4 with 22Kmiles

Many problems fixed (minor), but clunk in driveline when starting from a stop is getting worse and dealer not taking me seriously, yet.
