FX4 vs GMC Sierra 6.0

Hey guys just a quick question. When I was changing my oil today my father and I were joking around and he said something to me about that FORD (Found On Road Dead) thing. So I said you wanna race, he said yup. Now my dad has a gmc sierra denali pick-up with the 6.0. He only has a dual exhaust on his, my truck is stock. Would his truck totally rape me if we were to race? Or would it kind of be a close race.

James

The 6.0 is a stout motor, and will most likely outrun you. The Chevy is much lighter than the Ford too.

I think you're gonna get beat down. He'll prolly have you off the line, and you might be able to reel him in after the 660' mark, but it's gonna be tough to match that 6.0; I don't like their trucks, but GM puts stout motors in 'em.

You would be hard pressed to beat a 327 chev let alone a six liter. I will never own a GM but I can't deny that I would trade my triton for a vortech any day of the week.

Not me. With the weight of these Fords plus the 5500 - 6000 lbs I tow, I need the torque of the Triton. The only thing I would trade my Triton for would be the 6.2 hurricane or a nice diesel!

Don't forget about the drive by wire, when you stomp the throttle it takes a few seconds for the engine to wind up and start really moving. During this time that 6.0 Sierra will have moved a length or two on you and you'll be hard pressed to catch up.

The vortec is a strong motor, Wish they would just up the power on the Fords alittle. I raced my dads STOCK Escalde on 24's and I raced wth my Screw 5.4 on 24's with SCT/Magnaflow/Volant and hate to say it but the 6.0 took me outta the holeshot big time

He'll probably win. But you'll get your revenge eveytime he asks you to pick him up at the dealer because his truck is being repaired.
