the bilsteins are on

this past week i put on front and rear blistein shocks on my 05 KR. if anyone, as i was, on the fence wondering if it is worth the cost, do it. the ride which was good is now much better. this is well worth the money. i only had 16,000 on the stock shocks so they were not worn out. i put the rears on first and took it for a drive and it was noticeable. then with the fronts it was smooth.

bilstein HD pn front be5-a934-ho and rear pn be5-a935-ho. there is info and pictures on bilstein.com. as i said in the original post the ride difference is very noticeable. well worth the money. got them from ebay. i have also previously put a rear sway bar on the truck.

just setting it up the way ford should have made it. but then what can you expect from a truck with a 44K sticker price. if they built them like we mod them the japs would be out of business.

Shocks don't change ride height, they change ride quality.

shocks dont normally change the ride height. however in the case of bilstein they have them available that can. the coil spring on the f150 mounts on the spring. one model shock lets the installer select 3 ride heights. the shocks i put on is a direct replacement for stock and there is no height selection. the "rake" that the truck has, in my opinion, looks good. i also did not want to get into changing the angles on the front end and going possibly going thru ball joints or 4 wd drive shaft universals.

and as far as ride quality they sure did change that.

the sway bar was from suspension connection.
