Jack Point

I had a flat fixed the other day and they jacked up the truck from the front, using the A-arm. Is this a good place to use when jacking up a front corner? Or is it better to use the frame and let the A-arm hang? I used to use the A-arm on older vehicles, but that hunk of aluminum just made me wonder.

I've always used the frame just because I didn't like the idea of putting all of that weight on a suspension item. I haven't read anything either way just my .02

Owners manual states to use the frame on the front. as the a-arms are aluminum, I will continue to use the frame.

Patshea, I've found someone to fabricate sliders so I can use the hi-lift, there is nothing reliable to use as a mounting point that won't buckle. Use a piece of 2x4 if you're worried about damaging the A-arm.
