My new mod - SUEDE dash trim!!

Well, after alot of trial and error and work....I finally did my project. I got rid of the wood trim in my lariat and it is now suede!! I wrote detailed writeup for it, here is the link:

http://www.ford-trucks.com/article/i...rucks_too.html

I also just did the tray on top of the dash and the door panels too and am working on a writeup for them. The door panels require ALOT more work than the dash trim. I am still waiting on my brother to email my pics of the door panels, but they came out AWESOME! The interior of the truck looks so much better!!!

In this pic the ashtray looks lighter, but it must be the lighting - there is no color difference between the two (they were covered from the same piece of suede).

Very impressive... just reading the title of your thread I thought it would look kinda ghetto but now seeing it I've changed my mind. The install looks very professional and I can't wait to see the rest of it.

I would be more than happy to help anyone. I redid my radio bezel about 3-4 times until I found the right color, and now I can do it rather quickly.

Is it against forum rules to offer this service and charge a minimal amount for my labor?

I really like it! I'd like to do that to the pillars by the windows like a luxury suv or truck.

The next thing I would like to look into doing is the headliner, but with the overhead storage, that creates a greater obstacle.

Looks very good just keep the dirty fingers away so it does not end up looking all nasty.

Great idea!!!

That's a great write up! It looks pretty good. I'm actually thinking that if you can do that with suede, why couldn't I do that in leather??? It would actually be pretty trick to match it to a custom leather interior...

hmmmm....

Thanks for posting!
