Rancho lift questions

I was set on getting a rancho 4 inch lift because I just put on 33' so I didnt want to go to high and have it look weird. Then the tricky part school, I go to ASU and if I go to high I wont have anywhere to park but like 4 miles away in a lot. I was wondering if I could use the rancho kit and my stock struts and my 2.5 AS or like a custome 3.5 inch spacer insted of the replacement strut you are susposed to get to not go too much higher just a little and to correct the ball joints and clunking over bumbs and later complete the lift. sorry if this question is hard to understand.

by skipping the rancho shocks, and using a custom spacer you are getting the same result...the new shocks are longer, and better obviously than stock- so if you stick with the oem equipment, then add a spacer to work with the lifted suspension you're not doing anything- its still gonna be 4-5" higher than it originally was- is ASU strictly parking garages? if so, whats their max clearance? there are a few people with the rancho kit that can give you an overall height after install-

I only wanted like a half lift like a true 3inch lift, people say the rancho lifts like 5 5.5 in the end I only want half that but a little more then an AS and I am not sure on the height I just know they are all low I used to park in there with my car but now I have this truck and I just know they are low tahos barely fit stock.

Geez don't ask for opinions then now take them. The thing about a 3inch lift is thats so close to a spacer which is 2.5.

theres nothing wrong with body lifts. and true lift? the skyjacker 3 is a true lift..i dont know what you classify a true lift as....but its lifting you 3 inches....in your suspension....wile giving you A-A-L's that are custom made for our trucks and better front setup with the scoils

no offense to "A true lift" those are true lifts but it goes back to one of my original concerns ball joints and the clunking/hitting over dips and such. I want one with drop knuckles to get the UCA back where they should be and the stress off the lower one sorry didnt mean to hurt feeling or cause problems, I just wanted to know if it was feeseable to do like a half rancho lift just to use the knuckes and drop brackets but not the full 5 5.5 lift

If you used the rancho lift without the shocks you will have the opposite problem. The front driveshafts with the Rancho lift are straight so if you use the stock shocks the driveshafts will have to angle up to the wheels. That setup might cause more of a problem than your Autospring.
