who ever does the install though, will need an extra key to put in the steering column. wasnt' to crazy about it, but it is needed for the remote starting (make sure you have 3 keys so you dont have to pay a locksmith to program a new one)

sounds like your installer did it "half ***",thats an easy way to get around the chip.a real installer would use a module.

i have the viper791,battery back up,key bypass module and window modules.it does nothing to the factory alarm unless you arm the factory alarm.which if you have a aftermarket alarm,you would never be using the factory alarm.usually when people dont know thw answer to something,they make something up.who ever you talked to about a aftermarket alarm was dead wrong.
