I bought a new 06' GSXR 600 to ease gas prices. She should get good gas mileage!

My math is a little fuzzy I guess. Spend money on a crotch rocket to save money on gas? I don't think that adds up. Good luck though.

 

If that thing gets 40-50 mpg, which I would think it would easily, if not more, it won't take long at $2.80/gallon to pay for itself.

I can't believe you only get 40-50 ... my 1000 gets mid 40's with 8,000+ rpm shifts everyday.

 

Your right if I only drove 12k a year it wouldn't add up but since I'm in the 30-40k a year its a damn no brainer. I paid 740 dollars for gas alone last month We will shall see what the MPG is in a few weeks once she is broken in.

OH, AND ONE MORE THING. A "crotch rocket" would burn your ***** off. I like my big stinky *****! So I ride the most technological 600cc motorcycle on the planet. It is a true piece of art that can be ridden. I am no squid, and to all that say sport bikes are more dangerous. The latest figures show a 73.4% gain in rider fatalities among 35-50 year olds riding cruisers, aka Rolex Riders. I ride full gear full time!
