However, your CV angles will still not be that great. I don't think its too much to worry about in the short term but for the long haul it would be IMO.
Yep, the upper is a whole replacement with the lower one just being the joint. About 125 bucks on both sides. If I can get 30K out of the setup to spend another 250 bucks is fine with me. The cost of a lift is just too much for me now. My .02.

Little confused here. So the ball joints are pressed in and sold separately. And some say you need to buy the entire UCA. Isn't it possible to buy the ball joints and have them pressed in? I'd think taking off the UCA yourself and having someone press the balljoint would be a little cheaper than the entire UCA assembly. Maybe by the time I need them the Total Chaos kit is cheaper or a new kit will be out. Just lookin for info to store in the back of my head for now.

Thump...

Total chaos upper control arms are like 675 or 700 and bolt on to the stock location with no cutting/modding required so long as the lift kit you are running does not require mods to them. This is from the email that Total Choas sent to me when I submitted my inital question. I will try to locate and post.

Im glad I went with the 1.5" AS, no clunking and ball joints look fine after 20K.

the cv joints will only wear out if the truck is in 4wheel drive or will they wear out if you mostly run 2wheel drive? do they spin when the truck is in 2wheel drive?
