Hood/ Hood Scoop

Hey guys...i have about $1000 stored up to use on the truck. I absolutely love the ram air hood but im thinking of going with just the roush hood scoop. Should i spend 900 on the hood or 150 on the scoop and spend the money else where? thanks

If it's non functional I don't think you should waste your money on either.

Well the money/fucionailty(sp!lol) isnt high with the ram air. Its not gonna give you good gains for the money unlike a tuner or any any thing else for that matter. I say go with the Roush. I liked the Ram Air hood but if i was short on money i'd go for the Roush. So go with the roush and spend that money on other stuff. Maybe get some headers, im not sure how much they cost but with the money left over im sure you'd have them on your truck in no time.

Definitely the Roush hood scoop... I'm not a big fan of the "ram" air hood for these trucks.

I'd go with the Roush, the ram air hoods look too funky to me.

I say go with the roush scoop and get a tuner and air intake for your truck but what can I say I am biased towards the roush scoop seeing that I have them on both of our vehicles

by the way nice choice on the roush example

He already has that stuff, well maybe he could get a new intake.

i would say the ram air.....but its very pricey.....and i love the roush also...i will most likely get the roush.....since its cheaper.....but i wanna do it right and different...im tryuing not to go the cheaper way out of the look (no offense to anyone with the roush i love it......i jsut wish it was a full new hood with the scoop built in)

I think the RAM-Air hood looks great. IMHO The Roush is too small for the hood, but its personal preference. The hood is functional and if you have the funds go for the kit

Another less expensive alternative are the Lund dual scoops, but no offense to anyone that has a set, but they look cheesy......:o

I've always liked the look of the Roush hood scoop, but how hard would it really be to make it functional?
