Did the AAL. Edit:Pics added

Well let me say it was just as easy as I heard and the instructions said. I figured out after I was almost half way through that I needed a couple more jackstands, good thing the wife was at wallyworld.

A week and a half ago I put a 2" AS on and it made my truck about 3/4" higher in front than the back. I have an 05 supercrew with a snuglid on back, which helped drop the rear a bit I'm sure since that thing is heavy.

I decided to get the skyjacker AAL kit #R3415 which is a 1.5" kit. It cost $130 at 4 wheel parts locally. Now the rear is just a tad over an inch higher in the back than the front. Now when I tow a boat or have the back stuffed with Port Aransas beach vacation gear I won't look Cali style, bulldog, or whatever else you guys call it.

As far as ride goes I'll find out tomorrow and pics, it's way dark outside and I'll update you guys later and get a few pics posted.

Get pics THEN post thread.

Congrats. Thinking of doing this as well. Have Leer 700 cover and AS 2"... It's close to perfectly level until I put anything with weight into the bed (haven't towed anything yet). Last December I went to TN with about 600lbs in bed, and my headlights were pointed to the sky..

Let me know if it made a big difference in the ride. I was told by a local shop that an AAL would make my truck ride very rough and they suggested I don't do it.

Just arrived at work and there is a diff in ride, but I think it's not that bad. It's not as soft as before, but I thought it was a bit softback there to begin. It's going to take a while to get used to but initial feeling is it's ok. If I don't like it I can just remove it and maybe do the 4x4 block switch instead, which I didn't want to do in the first place.

How would you describe the ride? Stiff?

I put the AS 2.5" with a Skyjacker 1.5" aal on my 05 4x4 screw three months ago and there is little or no difference in ride. Still the smoothest 4x4 truck that I have ever driven.

agreed, I did similiar setup, 2" AS and 1.5" skyjacker aal. No difference in ride quality at all and IMO - looks great when you park next to a stock one! ( and completely towers over by buddy's chebby 1500 Z71 offroad. )

I got mine thru Autoanything.com for $125 with free shipping. I know you can get similiar deals with Summit and 4WheelParts, just depends on who is offering free shipping.

SSpiro,

I ordered mine from Autoanything and got them $113.00 shipped. I called and asked if they had any "discounts" and he said this is the best he could do.

How much total lift does the 2' AS give? I have heard 2-2.5 inches

Does the AAL actually give a full 1.5"?

My current truck has a 2" rake front to back and want to keep the same look only higher. Do you guys think the 2" or 2.5" AS and an AAL would give me the results I want?

Thanks

Nebraska

The ride isn't stiff by any means, just more firm in my opinion compared to my stock 4x2 setup.

My AS 2" netted me about 2.5" inches in the front.
