I kno this is a really noob question, but everytime i use the search on the homepage, i get garbage results, what is the best way to search this site.

 

Don't search on the home page, use the search feature in the forum. You should find the word Search with a little triangle next to it just above in the black bar. Using the advanced search brings up a page with more options, like only searching the 2004-2006 forum.

 

The Advanced Search on this site is fantastic.
Use every single block you can before hitting the submit button and you can really zero in.

Especially for 2004 and up users.

There is some code that the webmaster may eventually add to really get at the old stuff.

Currently, you can Search "One year ago and older" however the '500 returned' limitation cuts off the data that is older than three or four years. There are posts in the DB from back in the '90s.
