33" tires for 20's????

I am looking for a good tire for the factory 20's. I would like to stay around the 33" so it will still fit in the garage! I do 80-90% highway driving, but want a more aggressive look than the stock tires! I have found the following:

BFG KO 285/55/20
Toyo MT 33/12.5/20
Nitto 305/55/20
Xtreme AT 33/12.5/20

Am I missing any? I plan on adding a AS 2" and an AAL to the rear. Which do you think would look better?

Thanks,

Nebraska

Irok 33/13.50 20. Pretty aggresive tires...like a Toyo MT.

Looks good on Factory 20's. A member here has it on his ride with the same setup youre running.

Iroks have terrible wear for the most part, especially considering how heavy these trucks are. . I'd stick with the Toyos or BFGs.

Since I spend most of my time on the road I am leaning towards the BFG KO's, but wish they made a little bigger size. I know they make a 325/60/20, but that is almost a 36" tire (35.5)!! I still want decent mileage and be able to fit in the garage!! I may just not put the AS 2" and AAL on and get the 285/55/20's?? Still pondering!!!

Thanks,

Nebraska

You might also consider the Mickey Thompson Baja Radial ATZ and MTZ and the **** Cepek Radial FC II.

Goodyear AT-S, 275/65-20 LR-E

Its the stock Harley F-Super Duty tire. Its a 10 ply so it can take some serous weight. Its about 34x11 so its alittle narrow (same as the stock pirelli) but its the right height. Should be under $300 a tire, and will go 50,000 miles, that in its self is worth haveing a tire thats not a inch wider.

I would go with the toyo M/T's if you can find/afford them. You could also go with Nitto or Swampers... but both will be worse on the road than the Toyo's.

I do love my Iroks though. They are on factory 20" wheels...

The Nitto's run real smooth on the highway and are nice and quiet but can still sling some mud when needed.

Thanks guys!! I have thought of the Goodyear AT's, a local shop will charge 270 each installed. Not bad, I am a little worried about how narrow they are. Do you think they would look like bicycle tires??

Thanks,

Cincy F150,

How much did your mileage change after the As and tires?

Thanks,

The 33x1250x20 Toyo MT's are tough to get. I ordered them in February and am still waiting. Supposed to be today or early next week. You can get them for a comparable price. I beat up all the local guys and got them down to $275 each. Now I just have to find wheels. I have picked out 4 different styles, #1 was way too much $, #2 & #3 were discontinued, and #4 is now backordered 3 -4 more weeks. Just my luck.

I was getting 18.5 and now it is around 17 with 60 highway/40city driving. I am running the 3.55's and this made the gearing a little tall so on a hill it kicks out of lockup more often. With your 3.73's and 33's, you will end up with about a 3.55 ratio.

I just ordered the Skyjacker AAL for $113.25 delivered!!! I am going to try and order the AS 2" this weekend. I also found ou that goodyear makes a 305/60/20 (34.4/12.5) in the new silent armor tire. I have called a couple of shops to get pricing!!!
