Question Wierd Clicking....Need Help

I have been in my new truck for about a week and the last couple of days I have been riding around with the windows down and I have notice a clicking sound coming from the front wheel area every 10-20 seconds.

Has anyone had the same problem? Is that suppose to happen or is something wrong?

Thanks for the help
John

This may sound stupid, but if you pick up a stone between your treads it will make a clicking noise that would only be noticible with the windows down.

I have had this problem but it was comming from the engine. It could be te AC but the AC ususally goes away after awhile. Does it click when you just turn it on and drive or is it consistent like that?

Nah, the A/C click doesn't just go away, it will continue to cycle every so often depending on pressures/temps as long as it is on.

come to think of it, it does sound like an A/C clicking on and off. But the A/C is constantly on. I do not constantly change the temp. but it continues to click.

I have never heard this in any other car I have driven. Is it a ford thing?

Can yall here this in yall's truck? Do I need the dealership to take a look at it?

thanks
john

Yeah what he said , the Ranger I had before the f150 did this, loud click from under the hood every little bit. Start your truck up, turn the A/C on full blast everything, pop the hood and watch/listen.
