ordered roush dual exhaust kit (off road)

ordered it last night so I should have it in a couple days. hopefully I'll have a truck to put it on by monday . I'm thinking about installing the exhaust myself so about how long does it take to complete and is it fairly easy to do?

Bought mine from Woodhouse auto. Not sure if they are still on sale.

Mine bolted right on with no welding.

I got it on my 06 and LOVE IT. I talked to a guy at Roush when i ordered it, there is a new model number that apperently is new for this year. From what i understand this kit is a little different, and was not available on their website roushparts.com, this one is susposed to be easier to install It took me and my dad 2 hours to install in the garage, bout an hour to install it, and about an hour of tinkering around with the final position. Very easy to do, unbolt old system, rebolt new system.

How much drone do you get with this system? Any loss in power or torque? I like my Magnaflow b/c it is so super quiet on the inside but I wish it were a little more noticeable from the outside.

alright well I got the exhaust in today and it looks sweet, the tips are huge. I am going to pick up my new truck tomorrow morning at 9:30 so I might try to put the exhaust on tomorrow. what tools will I need and are there any suggestions to help make this installation easier?

here are the instructions from the website:

http://store.roushperformance.com/im...exhaustkit.pdf

are any of the steps unnecessary or is it pretty straightfoward?

Its pretty straight forward.

The big pain will be getting your exhaust tips centered, parrallel(with the ground), and a even distance apart.
Because if your like me, a 1/8 out, pisses me off
Even though you can't see the 1/8 out, just knowing its out, makes me...... ARGH!!!
Anyways, that's what took me a while to do.

Goodluck

The installation of mine was different than that and i had different instructions. Im not sure if it is specific to 06 or not, but the new kit does not require any cutting at all.

the change happened late 05- i ended up with two off road exh. systems on my front step- both with the new part number- i ordered from the old number, roush screwed the order as they were in transition from new to old #. the pipe hangars are different/easier to install than the original systems

Yes it is really deep but a lot of times at WOT you can hear more tires and engine working than the exhaust. When you floor it, it sounds like the meanest truck in the world from the inside and then gets almost silent while cruising at any speed but it is a completely different story from the outside. That is why I was asking about this. I love the inside part of my Magnaflow (exactly what I am looking for in exhaust) but hate the outside part.
