DUALCOMP Bedliner Review
DUALCOMP Bedliner Review
Hello All -
After much debate and research over the past 2-3 weeks, I decided to go with the Dualcomp liner. I use my truck for mostly a passenger vehicle, but DO haul home improvement type things (2x4's, drywall, trees for the yard, mulch, etc.) on occasion....and plow my drive in the winter (so it isn't JUST a passenger vehicle). That said, I decided against the spray in due to cost ($490 for the liner, and then a rubber mat on the floor to keep things from sliding around). I finally decided to give the Dualcomp a shot.
I e-mailed much with Bryndon from Dualcomp (many of you may know him from the forum). Long story short, Bryndon dropped off the liner on Wednesday (and actually INSTALLED it at the same time). The fit and finish of the liner seem to be top notch. I will keep everyone updated over the coming weeks, months, year to let you know how it holds up. But....it's off to a great start!
Thanks again Bryndon, I appreciate you installing it (20 minute job) even though I didn't have the time to join you Wed. afternoon!
Thanks,
Travis

Is that a bed mat on the bottom? Does that bedliner only cover the rear and sides of the bed? I can't tell from the pictures, but is there a gap between the sides and the floor? Looks like dirt and stuff would get stuck in those seams.

The sides go down onto the bed (a few inches) and then the bed back lays over top of the flaps from the sides. Very good fit actually. Dirt is a valid concern, but I don't anticipate having any issues.
I'll certainly let you know!
I do plan on pealing up the bed mat every couple of months to see if anything is getting under there.-Travis

Looks pretty good....but the gap does irk me
I just had my truck filled with mulch. Shoveled and raked it out. The gap would seem like it would hold stuff under it.
I'm happy with my choice but it looks nice

I was quoted $400 for a spray in, plus another $60-75 for me to find a rubber mat for it.... The Dualcomp is around $300 shipped I believe.

Hey Travis, was glad to put it in for you. It just worked out that I needed to be in Madison anyway.
I've had the one in my company truck (2005 F150, just like Travis') for 35,000 miles now. Part of my job is to try to trash the liner (I know, quit bragging!). I've hauled everything under the sun, including mulch and sand. If you hose the bed out before you remove the mat, virtually nothing gets under it... if you pull the mat out, the stuff along the edges falls into the bed as you remove it.
In 28 years of driving trucks, I have never found another bedliner that was half as good for my purposes.
PS: Travis shortened the install time a little, I did it in 20 minutes if you take out the 25 it took to run to the store and replace the torx bit I broke. Note to self, torx bits are only good for a few hundred installs.

Wheres the cheapest place to get one of these? Looks like the cheapest I foun it was $299 shipped for a 6.5' bed. And will this work with the Ford rubber bed-mat?
