I'm getting my side mirrors painted, but I need some loaners in the meantime. Anyone have some to loan me?

If you are serious, I will check. What is the cost to paint your mirrors?

Yes, I'm serious. I have a guy that is prepping & painting my Lariat flares and mirrors for $600. The mirrors are no joke...he has to tear them apart and smooth them out for paint. He does AWESOME work...I can send pics to anyone that is interested...email me if you are.

Anyway, if you can hook me up that would be great. I want to seend them off next week if I can.

P.S. You going to the meet in Pismo?

Steve is the one doing the work for me.

Wish you were making the Pismo trip.

The mirrors are a MAJOR pain in the **** to paint. I had my painted by a body shop and they did a perfect job on them. I was able to con them into doing both mirrors for $250, which is a great deal because of all the labor involved to take them apart, sand them down and then paint, etc.

I just drove without mirrors for the day it took to paint them and then put them back on when they were finished.

Best of luck, I think it makes the truck look 10X better, though an argument could be made that my truck is black anyhow. It is noticeable.

I would also do the antenna base. I did that myself as it's really easy and it just one of those "final touches."

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, I need to have at least one side mirror on the left side. I drive on base and I guarantee I'll be confronted about not having one when I stop at the gate to show my ID.

The guy doing the work won't have them done in a day...I wish though. He has done them before and knows how much of a PITA they are. Probably why I'm not getting charged $250 for the mirrors. I think I'm getting a fair price though...when pricing around for just my fender flares I was quoted $400. This price is for the flares and mirrors.

Thanks for the antenna base ideal...I might make that my project too.

I hope I can have them done by the Pismo trip!

When I had my mirrors and door handles painted it took 2 days. I just left the truck with the guy.
